Batteries

Here you can find any kind of battery for power tool from Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Festool, Hitachi, Metabo, Fein and other manufacturers.

Using special filters, you can easily and quickly sort products you are interested in by brand, type, voltage or capacity.

Recently, battery-powered (cordless) tools are gaining power tools market share. This trend is getting acceleration. Many well-known manufacturers are expanding their range of cordless tools. Modern technologies allows to achieve a high energy density, saved in batteries, so even such power-consuming tools as a chain saw can already work efficiently using energy, stored in battery. At the very beginning of the cordless tools history they were quite messy, cumbersome and workes only a few minutes. Now this situation has radically changed. It would be hard to find any type of power tool, that does not have a cordless version.

You can find 3 types of batteries in the market. They are: Ni-Cd (Nikel Cadmium) batteries; NiMH (Nikel Metal Hydride) batteries; Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) batteries.

Several essential cordless tool features:

  • Lower weight – easy work. Cordless tools (especially garden tools) are much lighter than gasoline. For example, battery mowers are up to 40 % lighter than petrol ones. This is why they have better maneuverability. Low weight is also very important for appliances such as hedge trimmers or secators, especially if they are used for a long time.
  • No cable – freedom for movements. Cordless tools are light and silent as electrical, but independent of the power source. This is greatest advantage. Using electrical equimpent you must install extension cable, and it gives you a lot of nuisance. This cable is always on your way or between legs, you need to move it frequently from one place to another. Quite often cable is damaged inadvertently. Damaged electric cable can cause electric shock and even death. You can forget all these problems if you use acordless tool.
  • Security and minimal maintenance. Cordless tools have same mobility as the gasoline ones, but they are much safer. Using the battery tool you don‘t need to take care of fuel, you have no exhaust gases, no bad smell during operation and storage, no need to store fuel. Battery tools require almost no maintenance (they do not need to prepare a fuel mixture, to perform maintenance). Cordless tools are much easier to store - you do not need to remove fuel residues, there is no unpleasant oil and fuel odor. Upon completion of the work, the battery tool can be placed immediately on the shelf.
  • One battery for all your tools. It is very important to mention that many well-known tool manufacturers are trying to unify the batteries used in different tools. This means that the same battery can be used with different power tools. This is especially useful when you want to replace the discharged battery with a charged one and continue your work. It also allows you to save money because you can buy 1 or 2 batteries with a charger and several different power tools without battery and charger (bare tool). You can only work with one tool at once, so you do not have to buy and store a lot of batteries.
